Rocketship: national, non-profit elementary charter school network that opened the nation’s first hybrid school in 2007. We are building a school model that delivers on these four ambitions; it includes exceptional classroom teaching and individualized learning to enable students to master basic skills and higher order thinking skills, and an operational approach that minimizes expensive, unnecessary redundancy, while supporting academic innovation and excellence.
Aspire Public Schools: Aspire opens and operates public charter schools throughout California, with an emphasis on serving low income communities. Aspire’s elementary schools typically serve grades K-5 and its secondary schools serve students grades 6-12. Aspire offers a dependable choice for urban families and students to receive a high-quality education to prepare them for college. As of the 2010-2011 school year, Aspire serves a total of over 10,000 students in grades K-12 at 30 locations throughout the state. Aspire plans to open three to four new schools each year.
Green Dot: Green Dot Public Schools is the leading public schools operator in Los Angeles and an important catlyst for education reform, locally and nationally. Its mission is to transform public education in Los Angeles so that all young adults receive the education they deserve to be prepared for college, leadership, and life. Green Dot’s work is directly focused on influencing Los Angeles Unified School Distric (LAUSD) to transform its failing high schools and helping the district reinvent itself as one of the best school districts in the country.
Harlem Children’s Zone (HCZ) Promise Academy: The mission of the Harlem Children’s Zone Promise Academy Charter Schools (HCZPACS) is to provide high quality, standards-based academic programs for students, grades K-12, from underserved communities and underperforming school districts, and to provide students with the skills they need to be accepted by and succeed in college.
Bridge International Academies: (Africa) The world’s first network of ultra-low cost, private primary schools, Bridge International Academies aims to educate over one million children for under $4 per month.
Summit Prep (HS): Designed and developed by Summit Public Schools, Summit Prep implements this model in preparing every student for success in four year colleges.
